Andrés Schlageter obtained a prestigious Marie Curie Scholarship and is now PhD(c) in Animal Science from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. His research focuses on the development of technological tools to improve health, welfare and production of livestock.
Born in Osorno, Chile, Andrés obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universidad de Chile and a Master in Animal Nutrition from the Agronomic Mediterranean Institute of Zaragoza, Spain. Currently he works in projects aiming to develop precision livestock farming tools for dairy farms.
In Encuentros 2015, Andrés is sub-director for the session on Natural Resources.
