CIC’s flagship is an innovation campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, next to MIT, that houses about 700 startup companies, venture capital firms, and innovation arms of larger companies, making it the largest concentration of innovation companies in one place anywhere in the world. CIC’s most famous graduate is Google Android which was built at CIC by Android co-founder Rich Miner starting in 2006. CIC has replicated its model in the cities of Boston and St. Louis, and is planning a major project in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Mr. Fernhout is a graduate of both the Rotterdam School of Business and the Portsmouth Business School.
