Trinidad Covarrubias is a trained physician with experience in Emergency Medicine in Santiago, Chile. She has been involved in network and collaborations with the third sector (NGO’s and others nongovernmental institutions) and in projects to address the needs of disadvantageous communities in a Chile. While studying medicine, she co-founded Acercando Salud (Bringing Health Closer), an NGO dedicated to health promotion and to advocating for healthcare policies that can contribute to social equality. Currently Trinidad is pursuing a Master degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics of Health at University College London.
