Carmen Contreras holds an MSc in Economics form the University of Nottingham and an MPhil in Development Studies form the University of Oxford. She is currently studying a DPhil in International Development at the University of Oxford. She conducts research on the relation between social networks, collaborations and the formation of biotechnology firms in different regions of Chile. Previously, she worked for the National Innovation Council in Chile and as researcher in innovation and entrepreneurship at Universidad of Chile.
Carmen is from Santiago de Chile. She studied Economics at the University of Chile and lives in Maastricht, the Netherlands, since 2014.
