The challenge is to solve a real problem of society in a way that can be globally implemented. Entrepreneurs can submit their projects until April 30. The finalists—who will be announced on June 3—will have the opportunity to present their innovative ideas at Encuentros ChileGlobal 2015.
Aji Challenge is a Chilean competition of entrepeneurship and innovation. The name comes from the topografie and the meaning that the name Chile has in the rest of the world. And the main focus is to make Chilean interprises known outside the country and put them together wth innovations worldwide. With the support of the Latin American office of SLOAN MIT and the University Adolfo Ibañez, Aji Challenge capacitates 15 semi finalist with special workshops. The final three proyects are invited to go to the centre for worldwide innovation at the Medialab in MIT and to present their project at Encuentros ChileGlobal 2015.
Among the finalists from previous versions of The Aji Challenge has projects as Babybe who later was finalist at the Intel Challenge in San Francisco; AlGramo, named one of the 50 most innovatives companies by Fast Company; And Orbital Wave Energy that after Aji Challenge won AntofaEmprende, that allowed them to test their prototypes of oceanwaves energy generation in Antofagasta.
To participate you can enter the webpage www.ajichallenge.cl and create your profile. Once created, you will have to accept the Aji Challenge conditions and send your application. That should consist of a max. Three minute long video in which your proyect is explained.
