Luz Maria is an architect and has an MSc in Architecture from Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC), specializing in collective housing. Currently she is following a PhD in the Department of Real Estate & Housing of TU Delft. Her reesrach focuses on housing maintenance in relation to low-income home-ownership. Luz María’s professional interests in this area also cover issues of community organization and the role of architects in participation processes.
Luz Maria was born in La Serena and resides in the Netherlands since 2014. Throughout her professional career she has performed functions in architectural design, research and teaching.
In Encuentros 2015, Luz María is sub-director for the session on social infrastructure.
